The story

From the Colliers to the corner stage.

Chapter 01 · Doncaster

A kid, a guitar,
and anywhere that would listen.

Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Long before the tour vans and academy stages, it started the way it always should — playing acoustic sets anywhere with a plug socket and a landlord willing to take a punt.

Those early years taught the lesson every good covers act is built on: nobody owes you their attention. You earn it, one song at a time.

Chapter 02 · The Colliers · 2014

Four lads, one van,
nine cities in ten days.

Keys and vocals in The Colliers — a four-piece that went from rehearsal room to a national support tour in a year. Spring 2014: special guests on The Last Carnival’s “Call of ’56” UK tour, playing the rooms every band dreams about.

Camden Barfly. Two O2 Academies. The Deaf Institute. Night after night in front of someone else’s crowd — the fastest education in winning a room there is.

Chapter 03 · Now · Back in Doncaster

The same stagecraft,
distilled to one voice.

Back home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Mitchell plays the long game — acoustic sets for pubs, bars, festivals and private events across Yorkshire, the North, and anywhere worth the drive.

The sets lean on the golden stuff — Dean Martin, Glen Campbell, John Denver, the Eagles — cut with modern singalongs and his own originals, the songs people ask about at the bar afterwards. And for the nights that want to dig deeper, there’s a whole “songs from my past” segment in the back pocket.

Everything learned in front of tour crowds goes into every corner-stage set: pacing a night, reading a room, and knowing exactly which song comes next. Band-sized experience, one-artist simple.
